The European project rescEU CBRN-DSIM-IT, a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening Europe's response capacity to CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) emergencies, was presented in Verona recently. The program involves the development of a fleet of high-tech specialized vehicles and advanced systems designed to support the management of the most complex operational scenarios.
The presentation was attended by key institutional representatives, including the Undersecretary of State for the Interior, Emanuele Prisco, and the Head of the National Fire Brigade, Eros Mannino, along with the Corps' top management, scientific partners, and stakeholders involved in the development of the new European capability.
Among the vehicles presented was the mobile command and control post created by Tekne for the SAFE Foundation, designed to support the firefighters' training and education activities as part of the project.
The vehicle developed by Tekne is designed as a mobile platform for managing and simulating CBRN scenarios during exercises, enabling the coordination of operational and training activities in complex and highly realistic environments. This solution will support the training of highly qualified operators called upon to intervene in highly critical emergency situations.
