megam@rt2 r&d project meeting

TEKNE S.p.A.

We are back from Sweden where, on April 1st, we took part in the kickoff meeting of the MegaM@Rt2 project, a European ECSEL project that will be developed in the three-year period 2017-2020.

MegaM@Rt2 will provide a scalable model-based framework for continuous development and runtime validation of complex systems

The objective of the project is the development of Model Based Engineering: the modeling techniques currently used only at design-time will be used at run-time for purposes of verification and adaptivity of the system.

Tekne will contribute to the project as a case study provider together with important partners (Bombardier, Nokia, Volvo, Thales), i.e. it will choose, on the basis of its industrial interests, a system on which it will test the methodologies and development tools made available by MegaM@Rt.
The project will also involve universities (University of L'Aquila, Brno University of Technology, University of Cantabria and others), research institutions (ARMINES, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, IKERLAN and others), and companies (SOFTEAM, Conformiq and others) that will propose new solutions for Software development.

The project is co-financed under the ECSEL rules with ESIF funds.

ECSEL-JU ("Electronics Components and Systems for European Leadership" Joint Undertaking) is a  "Public-Private Partnership for Electronic Components and Systems" with the mission of helping to keep Europe at the forefront of technological development; it therefore funds Research, Development and Innovation projects for world-class expertise in these key enabling technologies, essential for Europe's competitive leadership in the era of the digital economy.
